Generics Are Powerful Medicines

Generics Are Powerful Medicines is a program sponsored by Community Catalyst and the Alosa Foundation. The Universal Health Care Action Network has partnered with the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks to spread the word about the safety, effectiveness, affordability and availability of generic medications.

Many people opt for more expensive, brand-name drugs, rather than switching to equally effective, FDA-approved, lower-cost generics as they become available. The Generics Are Powerful Medicines program works to dispel common myths surrounding generic drugs, provides consumers with more information about generic medicines and tips about why and how to talk to their doctor or pharmacist about switching to generics.

The Generics Are Powerful Medicines literature is available to you for distribution in your community. Please contact Nora Nees at (614) 221-4336 or nora@oashf.org to have a quantity of any or all of the materials listed on the right mailed to you.
